Downtown jazz festival June 21 to July 2 - east Toronto locations
It may be called the Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival but East Toronto residents won’t have to go downtown to catch an act.
There are several venues east of the Don Valley, including free daily performances at the Tuborg Stage at the Alexander the Great Parkette (Danforth and Logan avenues).
Also presenting a full slate of festival shows are Whistler’s, Ten Feet Tall and the Black Swan Tavern. As well, Lolita’s Lust and the Chinchilla Lounge will host a late night jazz DJ most evenings.
It’s part of what promises to be a jazzy summer in East Toronto with the annual Beaches International Jazz Festival slated to run July 20 to 29.
